We wish we could say The Sunny and C Show was a long-time in the making, but to do so would be a lie.

This whole idea was put into motion in the fall of 2009. Cody, motivated by a friend’s show on Grand Valley State University’s student-run radio station, decided to start a sports-talk show of his own. Needing a partner, he did not have to look outside of his circle of friends to find Matt.

While the concept originally was to be a fun, radio-only show, it was quickly apparent to us we could turn the show into something much bigger.

We’re both members of the Frederik Meijer Honors College at GVSU, and as a requirement for our graduation, we must complete a senior project. Typically, these projects are research papers or presentations. We chose instead to start a media network.

Only a few months after the start of our show we already have a blog, a show, guest writers, and, most importantly, a devoted fan base.

As the next year goes by, we hope to expand and improve all facets of the project. By the spring of 2011, we hope to have the best senior project in all of the honors college.
