While Miami Heat fans rejoiced the signing of LeBron James, Cleveland supporters denounced him, none as much as Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. The bitter leader posted a letter to Cavaliers fans on the team’s Web site making his personal opinion clear. Of course, there is more to the letter than what is typed. Let’s do a little interpretation, shall we?
For most of the last decade, comparing an NBA regular season game to a college match up or even a local high school contest would show the lack of energy and intensity displayed during the league’s 82-game season. However, a new wave of European players are creating a new trend of competition.
The Shaq experiment was destined to fail from the start. If you could just grab the best talent and spew it on the court, why would we pay coaches and general managers so much? As as a result, LeBron James will be heading south to Miami in 2010.
